DESCRIPTION
In this tour, one of the indigenous Ngäbe communities in Bocas del Toro province, will be the perfect site to learn the wonders of the process to transform cacao into chocolate.
The cacao farmers in the community will serve as our local tour guides and will allow you to experience life in an indigenous community and also share with you the entire process of organic shade-grown cacao, explaining every step of the transformation process, from the planting of the sacred cacao tree, to the harvesting, fermenting, drying and ultimately roasting and making of the final product, the delicious chocolate the way they have been making it for centuries.
In addition, within this learning experience, you will be able to go on an adventurous hike through the cacao trees and see many animals along the way, such as dart frogs, sloths, toucans, and many others.
Finally, there are chocolate products available for you to take and support the education and health of the indigenous community, with your purchase.
