DESCRIPTION

Today at 7:00am we will pick you up at your hotel in Santiago city.
The tour starts in this central point of Santa Fé´s town talking about Santa Fe´s history,  important events such as “La Gesta del Tute” (Tute’s Deed) and Father Gallegos, who was the driving force behind cooperativism in Santa Fe.

We will be driven from town to the municipality of el Pantano (10 min) where we will take a walk through a rural area and crops until we reach Mary and Chong farm (20 min).

During the path, they guide will tell you about the cooperativism between neighbors, also known as the famous work “juntas” or meetings.

Once at the Mary and Chong farm, you will learn about the life of the Santa Fe farmer, their participation in the cooperativism, organic agricultura, basically, an intimate look at their lives.  Here we will enjoy lunch.

After lunch we will say goodbye to Mary and Chong, and walk back to our transport (20 min).

You will be driven from El Pantano to La Llanita, before reaching El Guabal. During the journey we will cross the continental divide, with impressive views of the cloudy forest. (30 min).

During this 40 minute walk in order to get to the swimming hole, we will explore a humid tropical forest with sights of three different cascades, each one spectacular in its own way.

You will be back in Santiago at approx. 4:30 pm.
