Pineapple Farm

Located only 60 km from Panama City, during this interesting tour, in this160 hectares plantation, you will be able to see it all, from pineapple planting to packing in Panamá.The participants will hop on and off (as desired) of an adapted cart with seats, roof and grab bars, that used to carry pineapples. During the ride, you will be acquainted with the different stages of the fruit: planting, growth and all the agricultural processes involved in the harvesting of the fruit. You will also enjoy the tasting of freshly harvested pineapples while learning about sustainable agriculture; enjoy beautiful water springs, butterfly reserves, and see all kinds animals including birds, iguanas, caimans and sloth monkeys.

Then you will witness firsthand the processing line, beginning with the disembarking of the fruit; its cleaning through a mechanical process; followed by the selection of the fruits for export and local consumption; and the packing and placing of pineapples in the cold rooms for conservation.Finally, in a relaxed atmosphere, the participants will be able to continue tasting the sweetest and freshest pineapples in the world, tasting natural pineapple and passion fruit juices; and acquiring pineapple derived products and souvenirs for sale.
